Celebrity Superstitions Part I

It takes more than swift moves on the soccer field for David Beckham to score a win. Los Angeles Galaxy player Beckham wears a new pair of soccer shoes every time he plays a game -- for good luck, according to the newspaper British Sunday Express. Beckham, who is the face of an Emporio Armani underwear campaign, never plays a game without wearing his Armani undies. "I always wear the Armani underwear," Beckham told People magazine. "I've worn it in every game since joining the Galaxy."

Talk about being extra cautious. Singer-performer Eartha Kitt, who died in December 2008, wouldn't stay in a hotel above the eighth floor for safety reasons. "She's superstitious about being above the 8th floor, just in case there is a fire," her publicist once told Jet magazine. "If she is above the eighth floor, she feels she may not make it out, but if she is on the eighth floor or below, she knows she will make it out."
