Here is a video and a link to more of the story:

Matthew McConaughey (yet again)!

Thanks to reader Raymond S. for this submission.

Our first post on Matthew McConaughey was almost a year ago. And while our blog has grown and changed in the last year, Matthew has not. Although one thing has changed: he is definitely having a tougher time hiding the fact that he is balding faster than his career is tanking. Here he is in his most recent film, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past:

Look at that nice head of hair! So thick! Such an even front hair line! Now check out this picture of him from earlier this month:

I rest my case.

Tom Green!

Thanks to reader Lafonny for this one. Remember this guy? I've been trying to forget him for years. He made millions off of annoying the crap out of people. And somehow in the process he dated Drew Barrymore. For years he thought he would distract us from his hairline with facial hair and comb-forwards. But now the hair on top is too thin to hide and since everyone realized he is not funny, we can no longer be distracted by facial hair or silly antics.

Here he is more recently:

On tuesday Sanna got some more color in the backpiece.
About 4 hours worth.
Next session is in March.

Eriberto Oriol for Altamont by Estevan Oriol - Part 1

Boring ass info post... but please read it anyway!

Here's a little late friday night info for you, since i'm stuck at work anyway:

Eckel will be in Germany from the 21st till the 29th of January.
And he will be working at the Brighton Tattoo Convention on January 30th and 31st.
So if you wanted to come by and talk to him at the shop, please wait until the 2nd of February where he'll be at the shop most of the day, doing just that.

Our work schedules are pretty random these days, so we advice you not to drop by without emailing us first, cause we might not be here.
Also, between January 29th and February 8th we won't be answering mails or taking any consultations.*
During that time Allan will be working, but the shop will be closed for everyone except the people getting tattooed.
So, if you have something urgent to discuss, please do so before January 29th.

Thanks for reading and have a fantastic weekend!

*Eckel's consultation day on the 2nd is obviously an exception.

IN MEMORY OF A FRIEND LOST....

HERES A MEMORIAL DONE FOR A CUSTOMER WHO WANTED TO REMEMBER A FRIEND THAT PAST....CLASSIC

A not so fun update

For personal reasons, we've been forced to cancel our trip to the Milan Tattoo Convention in February.
Allan hadn't booked any clients for the show, but we still sincerely apologize to anyone who was hoping to get tattooed by him during the convention.
We hope to be back at our usual spot next to Mr. Dettmer next year!

The next convention Uncle Allan is attending will be Ink n Iron in Long Beach, California in June.

John Travolta Lending Plane for Haiti Relief Effort

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers blog reports:

John Travolta, who is a licensed pilot and owns his own plane, is lending his plane to Haiti for assistance. Hollyscoop quotes him: “I have arranged for a plane to take down some volunteer ministers and some supplies and some medics. I hope that inspires others as well. It's needed."

Accidentally On Purpose - in the top 20

I was perusing a copy of Entertainment Weekly from a week or so ago and I glanced at the top 20 ratings listing for TV shows. Just below "How I met your Mother" and just above "The Simpsons" was Jenna Elfman's new show "Accidentally On Purpose."

Well done to Jenna!

Rob Schneider!

Thanks to faithful reader Marques J. for reminding me of Rob Schneider. I have been looking into him for awhile, but to be honest, I just forget about him. Occasionally I'll catch one of his movies on tv and think to myself "I need to do an entry on Rob" but then I fall asleep or change the channel and block Rob and his movies out of my head. But his hair piece is too good not to write about.

You can see a few years back that Rob clearly was balding. The front was receding:

Rob began to notice too, because all of a sudden he began pushing his hair forward to hide the balding. But the top was too thin for him to get away with this:

And then all of a sudden - boom! - Rob had a nice, full head of hair. Thick in the front, growing strong:

Even a new head of hair can't make this guy funny or relevant.

DOING IT LA STYLE

THE HOMIE SEGA REPIN HIS CITY OF ANGELS.....

Thanks heaps!

As you all know we've been a little preoccupied with the new shop lately.
And we still are.
We've been at the same spot for about 9 years, so moving is a big deal, even bigger than if we were moving to a new apartment, i think.
It's gonna be the beginning of a new era for us, with new possibilities and new projects and... shit like that, you know what i mean!
So with all that going on, it's easy to forget to blog about other stuff.
Like what it's all about, which is art.
Basically.
So with that in mind i thought i'd post a couple of new tattoos.
Both tattoos are on the same client, Kane from Australia.
He got tattooed two days in a row, one day by Eckel and one day by Allan, and sat like a trooper for both sessions.
What a guy!

Day one; Eckel
Day two; Uncle Allan

Thanks for coming all the way to Copenhagen to get tattooed, and for getting fun pieces too, we hope to see you again some day, maybe even in Australia!

Score!

Our friendly neighbors at WAS were nice enough to donate a sofa from their current exhibition, Domestic Mashup, to our new shop.
Too bad we can't steal their wallpaper too!
Free stuff is awesome, and now we have one less piece of furniture to buy for the new shop.
Thanks guys!

This little orange wonder will be Big Red's new sidekick
Color selections are going pretty well, but it's hard.. it's like there are either too many colors to choose from, or not quite enough... *sigh*

Paul McCartney!

Thanks to reader Sub Stantially for this one. Sub asks "hair helmet"? I think Sub is onto something. Paul McCartney likes the younger ladies, so I'm sure he takes measures to keep himself looking and feeling young. Although, as you can see from the pictures below, he just looks like an old man with a young woman's haircut.

PROGRESS..

MADE SOME PROGRESS ON MY LADYS' BACK PIECE.....STILL GOT A WAYS TO GO

New shop address and map!

Today we went by the new shop again.
Renovations seem to be going great, but since there's so much to do, it's hard to say when exactly it'll be finished and when we'll have the opening party.
But we've decided to make the official moving day, at least for now, March 1st.
So anyone booked after March 1st, or anyone dropping by for a consultation, should do so at our new address:

Schleppegrellsgade 7, kld.
2200 København N

The new shop is the "A" and our current shop is the red/black dot, it may look far, but it's actually just a 10 minute walk (it's true i timed it!)
And a closer look

We'll still send out emails with the address and map info, but now you have it here too.
Wow, it seems so real now...
I'm so used to being secretive, cause nothing was confirmed 100%, but now it's really out there!

To our foreign clients coming from the airport:
-Take the train or metro from inside the terminal
-Get off at Nørreport Station
-Walk down Frederiksborggade
-Cross Dr. Louise's Bridge
-After you've crossed the bridge you either turn right and walk along the lakes, or go down the next street, Ravnsborggade, until you get to Schleppegrellsgade.

Like so:

Toy exodus

I started packing already.
Well, a little bit of packing anyway.
I had one tiny little box lying around and i needed to do something, so i packed up some of the stuff around my fortress.
Bye bye toy buddies, see y'all soon
There wasn't actually room for all of them, just the ones in my office
Newest additions to the family: lego Conspiracy crew, a present from some recent Aussie clients
My (way too small) Booska collection
Don't worry, pervy John MacCain, you're coming with us

Next week i'm gonna start packing for reals, in big boxes.

Noah Wyle!

Awww remember Dr. John Carter on E.R.? Played by Mr. Noah Wyle. I guess it is stressful being a doctor - whether real or for television.

Noah spent many years hiding his receding hairline, but at this point it is too far gone to completely hide. Below you can see if you take a quick look, you won't notice anything. But if you give it a few seconds you can see the hair receding on the front sides.

And here's his real hairline:

Bing Crosby!

He has not one, not two, but three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Unfortunately, not a single one is for his toupees. His toupees have yet to win any awards, although they should. I nominate them for most obvious.

Here he is without his hair piece:
