Office space

The good news: it looks like we're moving after all.
I know, i didn't really keep you up to date on the moving business, so you may have missed the part where we were sure it wasn't gonna happen, but it's back on.
I don't wanna go "YAY" just yet, but it's looking good.

The bad news: i didn't buy this desk for my new office when i had the chance, and now i can't find another one like it.

It wasn't in the best condition, but still, so awesome
Look, the other side has shelves and a secret compartment

So, if there are any collectors of mid-century Danish design furniture out there who needs to clear out their basements, i'll take a desk!

A culture is only as great as its dreams, and its dreams are dreamed by artists. — Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard
Good Characters, Inc. (oh, the irony) has launched a new application for Apple iPhones called "Chinese Alphabet".

http://goodcharacters.com/blog/blog.php?id=110

The application uses a set of random Chinese characters to correspond with 26 letters in English alphabet. The company claims this will "add mystery to your writing".

At least they are smart enough to put up this disclaimer at bottom of the page:

"The translation provided by Chinese Alphabet is intended for personal use and entertainment only. Not recommended for tattoo artists to use this to tattoo their clients, iPhone app developers to localize Chinese apps, CIA agents to communicate national secrets, or security professionals to encrypt passwords."

Brittany Murphy's Widower Simon Monjack

Interesting. I just looked up information on Brittany Murphy's widower baldie Simon Monjack and learned something new. In February 2007, he was arrested and spent nine days in jail due to an expired visa. Three months later he married Brittany Murphy, in May 2007. Prior to the wedding Simon and Brittany rarely made public appearances together. Oh and they didn't announce the "engagement" to anyone. Hmmmm.

I hear Simon is a difficult man to get along with and his temper and erratic behavior have actually cost Brittany some acting jobs. Not even his hair wants to be near him! Look at the top of his head, it's like the hairs can't get away fast enough!

Funny man Tommy Davidson to hand out toys to homeless children

Comedian TOMMY DAVIDSON will help deliver toys to homeless children at the PATH Homeless Center, 340 North Madison Avenue in Los Angeles today! There's nothing a comedian likes more than to see someone smile.

Tommy and I are going to chat tomorrow so check back to see when his story will be published!

Davidson, who was in the foster system as a young child in Washington DC , has a personal story to tell.

Happy Holidays to All!!!!!

I just want to thank everyone who follows this blog, the celebrities who contribute and the behind-the-scenes people who help me set up interviews and keep this blog running. Please have the happiest and healthiest of holidays and don't forget to give to the less fortunate. My charity of choice at holiday time is St. Jude's.

Many people ask what I want for Christmas -- not the mushy stuff, but what I would 'really' want for the holidays. Let's start with this...

Well, I can hope! LOL...In addition to my traditional Christmas festivities with the family, I'll be seeing Sherlock Holmes this weekend! Enjoy your holiday!

GIRLS DIGG IT TOO....

HERES A LAST MINUTE PIECE I DID ON MY FRIENDS WIFE....

What does that shop do again...?

Oh yeah, that's right... tattoos!
Haven't seen too many of those around here lately.
Stingy Allan is keeping all of his tattoo photos for his own blog (normally i'd link to that, but you probably know it already, so whatever), and i practically had to beg for this one.
But it worked and i got it.
So ha!

This one is from yesterday, and it's a straight up portrait.
And coming from Uncle Allan, that's a very rare thing.*
The tattoo is on our old(est) friend Martin, and the handsome devil on his arm is a hero and inspiration of his.
And no, Helle, it ain't MJ!

Ladies & gentlemen, Mr. Fats Waller
It was a long, long day, so we ordered some delicious food and had a dinner break

It's gonna be a while before i'll have any new tattoos to post here.
Not just because i have to wrestle my husband for his, and the other two guys are out trotting the globe, but mainly because we're taking some much needed time off for christmas.
There'll be people at the shop from time to time, but if you really need to reach us (and it better be important!) just send us a mail.

However, i am hoping to have some info on the new shop this week.
It's been... complicated, but hopefully there'll be something to share with you all soon.

This is old, but you get the idea... merry christmas y'all!

*Who here's guessing that the first draft had roses on it?

Caleb Followill from Kings of Leon!

Thanks to reader Visual End for this tip. Caleb Followill, lead singer of Kings of Leon, is definitely becoming a baldie. And he's only 27!

Caleb seems to admit he is balding, but still goes out of his way to hide it. As Visual End writes "he's written about going bald in his songs and it's true." He used to have his hair long, which exposed his hairline:

But as his balding progresses he has cut his hair and now combs it forward to hide the hairline:

And the money shot:

It's clear his hairline isn't what it used to be.

MY HOST ADDED TO HIS COLLECTION OF INK FROM SA STUDIOS LA

HERES YONES LATEST ADDITION FROM URS TRUELY....

Steven Seagal!

Reader Andrew T. suggested I expose Steven Seagal, and find out with this Lawman looks like without a toupee. Unfortunately, the guy never seems to take it off! However, by looking at pictures from his past, we know that Steven Seagal definitely wears a hairpiece - a very obvious one.

And for those who haven't yet - you must check out his new show on A&E called Steven Seagal: Lawman. Steven spent time working as a deputy sheriff in Jefferson Parish Louisiana. On this show, he spends time letting everyone know how awesome he is. He says great things like: "Some of you may know who I am, and some of you don't. I've been doing martial arts for 40 years, so you can look at me as Steven Seagal, he's a movie star, or you can look at me and say Steven Seagal, he can save my life."

Here's Steven about 15 years ago:

You can see the frontal balding that he is trying so desperately to hide. After years of doing this he found another way. Glue some type of hairpiece to his head. He thinks he's fooling the world, but the only fool is the one who stares back at him when he looks in the mirror.

News on Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift

Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift: When stars like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers aren't busy making music and movies and hitting the road on tours, they spend a good amount of time giving back by working with charities. And now these pop superstars have made nonprofit auction site CharityFolks.com's list of the 10 hottest celebrity draws, according to "Extra."

The Jonas Brothers raised $300,000 for their Change for the Children Foundation in 2009 by using their celebrity to auction VIP meet-and-greet sessions through Charity Folks. The Jonas Brothers, in conjunction with the Change for the Children Foundation, also work with Bayer Diabetes Care to help spread awareness about the condition. Nick Jonas has diabetes and wrote the song "A Little Bit Longer" about his struggles with it. Read the rest of this article here.

Alec Baldwin donates $1 million to alma mater

So I'm a college student walking in New York City from my job to class. I walked the same way every day -- from 42nd Street to the New York Institute of Technology on 61st St. One night, Alec Baldwin walks right by me. He was in The Doctors at that point and I loved him on that show. I was thrilled, but he was walking pretty fast.

The next night, Alec Baldwin walks by me AGAIN. Okay, something's up, I thought, and I promised myself that if he walked by me the same time the next day I was going to stop him and ask him for an autograph. Guess what! The next day he walked right by me and I grabbed his arm! I'm sure I startled him, but it was before the day of entourages...LOL. Ends up he was in a play and was going to rehearsal every night. I told him I was going to school and this was the 3rd time he walked by me. He asked me what I was majoring in and I told him Journalism and Communications. We talked about it for a few minutes, but GUESS WHAT. I didn't have a pen! Maybe that's why I have 5 pens in my pocketbook all the time now -- just in case.

Well, Alec, if you're reading this, I'm the one that grabbed your arm on the New York Street one day when you were in a play while in The Doctors. Doubtful if you remember, but I just wanted to say that I think it's really cool that you remembered your roots and donated money to the School. And hey, I have a pen now if you want to send that autograph.

Our Lady of Doom

The antler lady has been for sale at the shop for a couple of months now, but we've just been way too busy to send her overseas.
She's too big to fit in an envelope, so we had to find some paper tubes that could fit her, and that mission has finally been accomplished.

So, if you've always wanted to own your very own limited Uncle Allan print (only 60 made), signed and numbered by the man himself, here's your chance!

The info on how to purchase one can be found on our myspace (in the merch blog post).
If you're not on myspace and want to know more, just post a comment here.

We're only gonna ship out once before closing down for Christmas and new years, so if you want it this year, place your order before the 21st of December.

The lady measures 51x36 cm and she's printed on fancy card stock
