Report: Private Jet Company Charged With Endangering Celebrity Clients for Cheap Fuel

Five executives and a pilot from a private jet company have been indicted on federal charges including the reckless endangerment of their passengers for allegedly over-fueling charter planes, ABC News reported.

Platinum Jet Management of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., has served clients like Beyonce Knowles, Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z and Harvey Weinstein, and charges charter fees of up to $90,000 at a time, according to ABC News.
The indictment, issued in New Jersey, alleges the executives and the pilot endangered passengers lives by over-fueling planes in places with low fuel costs and attempting to take off despite exceeding "maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights," the network reported.
ABC News noted that the indictment claimed this practice resulted in a February 2, 2005, crash at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport that sent a Bombardier Challenger jet skidding off a runway, across a highway and into a warehouse, where it burst into flames, injuring 20.
Those charged include the company's CEO, co-founder and chief pilot Michael Brassington, and his brother, VP and co-founder Paul Brassington. The pilot of the Bombardier Challenger was still being sought.
