Famous even before she gets to win 'Britain's Got Talent', Susan Boyle's performance of 'Memory' on Sunday, May 24 received a standing ovation.
Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle was announced one of 40 semi-finalists on Britains Got Talent 2009. On May 24s semi-final, Susan Boyle performed Memory from the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical Cats.
Host Ant & Dec asked what she's feeling in the past few weeks with all the publicity in both U.K. and U.S., and she said "unbelievable". Further asked whether it added up pressure to the night's performance, Susan answered "What pressure? It was really good tonight, I really enjoyed it ... I'm very happy to be here and thank you all for your support."
Cowell then offered a word of apology to Susan. He said, "You know what, I just want to apologize because of the way we treated you before you sang the first time. You made me and everyone else look very stupid and I'm very happy for you, very proud for you."
After the Sunday round, Susan was declared one of the two contestants that have won a ticket to the finals. The live final will be held on Saturday, May 30.
Everyone is loving this performance. Sure she faltered at the beginning. But imagine the pressure? From Oprah to GMA, Susan has been everywhere but back to this stage and yet she displayed nerves of steel and delivered.
