The MTV Movie Awards is a film awards show presented annually on MTV. MTV is formerly initialized as Music Television. It also contains movie parodies that used official movie footage with hosts and other celebrities and music performances. The nominees are selected by producers and executives at MTV. Winners are voted online by the general public. Presently voting is done through MTV's official website through a special Movie Awards link at www.movieawards.mtv.com

The nominees were announced, On May 3. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse lead the nominations with eight followed by Inception with seven included Best Movie. 2011 MTV Movie Awards show includes 12 categories, including Best Line From a Movie. Also, WTF Moment was re-titled Best Jaw Dropping Moment and Global Superstar category was retired after debut in 2010 show.
